Haldi (Pelikuthuru/Pelikoduku)
Haldi (Pelikuthuru/Pelikoduku) ceremony is a joyful Telugu tradition filled with turmeric, laughter, and love as we celebrate the start of our wedding festivities. This invite-only event is reserved for our closest family, and we can’t wait to share these special moments with you. Come dressed in your brightest yellow/green and be ready for fun, color, and lots of smiles.
Breakfast & Lunch included with event
Attire: Yellow/green. Either Indian or casual western.
A Mehendi function is a vibrant, pre-wedding South Asian celebration where the bride (and family) get intricate, temporary designs applied to their hands and feet using henna (mehendi) paste, symbolizing good fortune, love and beauty.
Dinner included after event
Attire: Since this takes place after the Haldi, you will likely be wearing the same clothes.
Sangeet is the Indian pre-wedding party filled with music, singing and dancing. It is very similar to a western "reception" except it happens before the wedding! It serves as a fun way to celebrate the happy couple and their family as they start their life together
Cocktail hour begins at 6PM PST
Dinner will commence at 9PM PST
Attire: Formal Indian or Western attire. Suit/tux for men and cocktail dress/saree for women.
Formal wedding ceremony will contain a number of different events. Arrive no later than 5pm.
The evening will proceed as follows
5PM-6PM PST: Baaraat
6PM-7PM PST: Ganesh Puja & Gowri Puja
7PM-9PM PST: Wedding - The Subba Muhurtham
8:23 PM PST: Official time of Marriage
9PM PST: Dinner will be served
Attire: Formal Indian or Western. Suit/Tux/Kurta for Men. Saree/Formal dress for women - please do not wear red.
The Satyanarayana Pooja after a wedding is a popular Hindu ritual to seek blessings for a happy, prosperous, and truthful married life, often performed by the couple as their first act together in their new home. This is an invite only event and will be specified on your invitation.
Dinner will be served after the event
